Google’s new and advanced search experience, i.e., AI Mode, is now coming up in five new languages. This is a significant update for users worldwide, enabling them to search and find answers in these languages.
AI Mode was previously limited to the English language at launch. However, now the tech giant is making search experiences more convenient for users looking for answers in their native language. This includes Hindi, Korean, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, and Indonesian. The update comes after the expansion of the AI search experience to 180 new markets in English.
As stated by Hema Budaraju, Vice President, Product Management, Search, in a recently published blog post, “Building a truly global Search goes far beyond translation, it requires a nuanced understanding of local information.”

Agentic Capabilities and Future Plans
In August, Google also introduced agentic capabilities within AI Mode for Google AI Ultra subscribers. This is available in the US, priced at $249.99/m, allowing users to find restaurant reservations, ticket booking, local service appointments, and more.
Google AI Mode, currently accessible via a dedicated Search tab and button, is expected to become Google’s default search experience. Google claims that its AI-powered search is generating "more quality clicks," despite accusations that the technology is decreasing website traffic.
